Bill Johnston, a remote community’s electrical inspector in the Northern Territory, started his career in the electrical business in 1969, joining the former Ontario Hydro as an apprentice. He received his journeyman’s license in 1973 and a Master electrician’s license in 1983. Bill joined Electrical Inspection in 1987 and became a Senior Electrical supervising inspector in 1991. He began servicing the remote communities in 1992, and still does to this date. He will provide electrical inspection service to all remote communities serviced by Hydro One, and all independent power authorities. The Electrical Safety Authority provides electrical inspection services to ensure electrical installations are safe using the Ontario Electrical Safety Code as a guide. Bill has been married for 38 year and has three sons, two of which are electricians. |
